How SaveHub verifies supported downloads
This page explains who reviews SaveHub capability information, how a platform is tested, and why our pages describe source limits instead of promising every link will work.
What our public claims are based on
A landing page is published only when its wording matches both the application contract and bounded production evidence.
Public sources only
Testing uses public URLs. SaveHub does not advertise bypasses for private, login-only, deleted, age-gated, or region-blocked media.
Formats returned by the source
Resolution, codec, audio availability, and direct-download options depend on what the source exposes for that specific URL.
Measured processing paths
Metadata, a bounded media sample, conversion dependencies, queues, and delivery storage are checked separately.
Published platform capability matrix
The table is generated from the same platform registry used by conversion orchestration. A current outage is reported separately on the live status page.
| Platform | Audio | Video | Playlist | Title search | Publication boundary |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube | Supported | Supported | Supported | Supported | Public videos and Shorts; public playlists allow up to 20 selected eligible items. |
| TikTok | Supported | Supported | Not offered | Not offered | Public video variants only; watermark and quality depend on the source response. |
| Supported | Supported | Not offered | Not offered | Supported public video and Reel URLs; private posts, Stories, photos, and carousels are not promised. | |
| Supported | Supported | Not offered | Not offered | Supported public video, Reel, and fb.watch URLs; private profiles and closed groups are excluded. | |
| SoundCloud | Supported | Not offered | Not offered | Not offered | One supported public track; no video or playlist claim. |
How a capability is verified
-
01
Registry and URL contract
The platform must have an explicit adapter, exact host rules, and declared audio, video, playlist, or search capabilities.
-
02
Bounded production canary
SaveHub fetches metadata, enumerates usable formats, and reads a small media sample without creating a visitor conversion.
-
03
Editorial claim review
Titles, headings, FAQs, and quality wording are checked against the evidence before a localized page enters the sitemap.
How we limit quality and availability claims
Wording we can support
- Public URLs are processed when the source returns usable media.
- MP3 bitrate labels describe output encoding settings.
- Video resolution and direct formats are source-dependent.
Wording we do not publish as a guarantee
- Every private, deleted, restricted, or geo-blocked link works.
- 320K restores source detail or represents an original studio master.
- Instant, unlimited, guaranteed 4K, or guaranteed watermark removal.
